Most days, I simply splash my face with water while in the shower. Actual facial cleansers are only used when I need to remove eye make-up, or when my skin feels particularly oily (which happens certain times of the month). I do however, put on a sunblock every day, after (ok too late I know!) freckles started appearing.
Roboman tells me that I am blessed my skin hasn't ended up too gross from neglect!
I first heard about Cetaphil when my Bubs developed eczema sometime last year. I never thought about using it on my face, until I received an email from their PR folks, and a handy travel pack was delivered to me. I said yes because Cetaphil is a trusted brand, and is known to be recommended by dermatologists. With age catching up on me, I thought I experiment once again with a proper skin care routine.
The cleanser can be used both with or without water. It glided on smoothly and foamed up just enough. I loved that it had no smell and felt really gentle on my skin. There was no squeaky clean aftereffect which I dislike, just a lovely fresh softness. My Bubbles, who always notices the faintest of smells, did not ask me "What is that smell, Mummy?" when I cuddled up to her after washing my face. That's testament! =)
The moisturizer felt light on the skin as well. I'm happy too that the UVA/UVB Defense is a SPF 50+ although it will take a longer time for me to note their effectiveness.
The Cetaphil folks are giving away 4 travel packs just like in the photo above. If you are on Twitter, you can stand to win these packs by tweeting this:
