Blueberry Muffins

I baked a batch of blueberry muffins over the weekend.
Since I can't remember the last time I actually baked muffins, I thought I should photograph them!

The Bubs was very interested, so she ended up in the photo too.

First, she surveyed the muffins from a little distance, with a pleased smile on her face:

Then, she bent forward for a sniff:

Before I knew it, her little tongue popped out for a taste.

There was no way I could continue photographing the muffins after that.

With a squeal of laughter and a bear hug, we proceeded to eat the muffins, still warm and blueberry gooey.

I don't know if it was the smell, or how it looks, or simply that she knows it is a treat!

Pinkclothmicrophone:
Heh. Actually it wasn't that yummy. I'm going to try out another recipe soon!

LadyJ:
I'm sure your muffins tasted a ton better! This recipe I used wasn't that great. May want to try your sugar lemon zest idea!

Ame:
Horkay. You come back and I feed you lots of it!!

Edmund:

Yums! I don't blame her for trying to sneak in a taste! Haha... Looks goo

Perhaps you can use orange zest instead of lemon zest. Bubs may not take too well to the lemon taste. ;)

Yes she was so funny! I was distracted by how she was eyeing them as well. The lick was just an icing on the cake, so to speak! heh

San:
Hee, taste-wise it could be better. Still trying to find a good recipe.

LadyJ:
Great idea for an alternative! Lemons are good for us though as we use them to clean her bottle steriliser. Might as well get the zest too. Heh heh

I did this over the weekend so the husband was around :) The Bubs did come and help me 'mix' and then watched as I put the mixture into the muffin cases too!

Beanbean:
Thanks for sharing! I'm looking for recipes that don't require a mixer as that just makes it so much more fuss free! Will check out that site :) What a great idea for using up bananas! My MIL uses them to make banana bread. I may want to try that too!
