After the cuppa and spot of shopping,
we decided to explore the Tiong Bahru estate on foot.
This place holds interesting (I wouldn't exactly say fond!) memories for me.
My piano teacher lived in one of the walk-up apartments,
and I remember climbing a steep staircase in a narrow stairwell for my weekly lessons.
She was a good teacher, but I, a lousy student. Ah well
Still, it is a place with nostalgic charm.
I hope to take Bubbles to explore this place someday
(We promise not to steal the plushies on the clothes line!)

I really like the photos. Once upon a time I actually had the time to go on photographic walkabouts. Sigh. Once upon a time...

Yes! Sigh, this 'chilling' thing is such a luxury these days, isn't it? Perhaps you could set aside one afternoon to do this? If someone could care for your Bub for a couple of hours? :)
I live in this estate! I love it. The kampong spirit is still alive here, and sometimes we feel like we've stepped back in time.
There are some old school kopi tims and some new funky establishments have also sprung up so you can have a good cuppa after your explorations.
Note to self: do not hang plushies out to dry when Corsage is around. Just in case.
