A Dollop Of My Home: The Peranakan Mirror

(Lost and) Found
Someone threw out this mirror in our estate.
We lugged it home.
Good as new after a good wipe :)

Acrylic candlestand: a birthday gift.

Porcelain bowl holding the plant: part of a wedding gift.

That's a beautiful find! :) Even better that you get to recycle!

My bibik has that similar mirror hanging on her wall! What a great find! Like they say, one man's junk is another man's treasure :)

Ruth:
No kidding!! :) I love the subtley coloured flowers. You know we had this on the floor for the longest time (pre-baby) because we don't own a drill and this mirror is heavy. We finally decided to place it this way, away from little hands, up on the shelf!

MamaJ:
I know! During those years we found loads of stuff downstairs. Now we haven't had time to keep a lookout. Just as well otherwise we'll seriously run out of space in the house! LOL

Jolene:
Yeah I tell you, if I lived in a house and had more space, I'll dedicate an area to hold lost treasures like this! I had an old rocking chair taken from a Freecycler ones with every intention to paint and redo it. Alas, the logistics of taking it somewhere to paint (no space in small apartment!) meant that I finally had to give it away!

Most importantly, does it reduce the size of double chin?? (mine of course...) teehee...

It is an awesome find! I'm enjoying this new series. The shots really are specific nooks that evoke a calm beauty, so I can ignore the riot everywhere else. waha!

Goolypop:
ROFL! It is perched rather high up so I can't even see my chin! haha! Mirror's doors are also usually kept closed because I like the look!

Yeah we even borrowed a drill from my parents but chickened out making holes into the wall! Finally moved it away from the floor when the Bub started crawling!

It is, isn't it? That's why we had to rescue it from the dumping ground :)
