Mumble Fumble

I am getting a real spell of pregnancy absent-mindedness!

It started about 3 weeks ago, and I am fast accumulating a list of silly things I have done. It is kind of frustrating, and I feel a bit like a ditzy Polly Pocket.

Among other things, I have left car keys in the ignition, and with the car unlocked, gone off for dinner. I have also double-booked myself for appointments, and turned up for a briefing in the afternoon when it was supposed to be in the morning.

What really takes the cake though, was what I did just two days ago. I was in the midst of drafting an email to someone, and halfway through, my brain kind of floated off somewhere, and I somehow thought I was emailing another person. So I basically sent out an email that was half written to Person A, and the other half meant for Person B! As if that was not bad enough, when I discovered my mistake, I frantically drafted another email to Person A to ask that she ignores the previous mail. I clicked "Send", and then realised that I sent the 2nd email to myself!! Ack!

I guess I just have to be more patient with myself from now on.

It is annoying though! I'm used to be able to handle 10 things at once and to enjoy the buzz of it all. Now blank spaces just appear in my brain out of nowhere and I have to pause and rethink what I am doing. I don't like this at all!

It annoys me sometimes especially when I am trying to do brain work. Thankfully nothing too serious yet!
