My MIL presented this little cross-stitched patch to me sometime back. It is of a little teddy bear (If you can't tell!). Roboman sewed this when he was about 6-7 years of age. The colours are funny because he was given leftover thread to use.
It is a little dusty now, and the cloth has turned slightly yellow. But I can't help finding it so adorable :) I'm going gently wash and frame it up for Bubble's nursery!

Wah this is vintage stuff!
You are so good at finding beauty in the simplest things! :D
Awwww so cute!!!! My MIL said Merv used to stand in the kitchen and watch her cook when he was a little boy! Heehee, I love to hear her tell stories of when he was a little one!
Whoa,,, after soo many years and his mom still store it up? a thoughtful mother..
lxlb: I know! Roboman was quite amused that it is still around.
tiffany: Heee - I'll make sure Bubbles knows that next time
lms: Hahahaha. You're right indeed!
jacinta: Aww - I think it is sweet that he made it, and that it was treasured enough to have been kept for so long by his mum. AND that she gave it to me :)
amanda: I know what you mean - I love hearing stories about R when he was young too. He didn't have many photos, so the stories make all the difference! Looks like Merv started young :)
celcilia: Exactly! I hope I can do that. Need to find space. haha
he can sew really well for a boy!
candice: Not bad huh? Hee! Actually the back is kinda messy, but that's alright :)
