A blue monday

I'm getting really annoyed by accusatory comments from people that my tummy is "too small" for my almost 5-month pregnant self.

Coupled with Monday blues, I am just bristling with irritation.

Don't let it get to you. You look lovely and a small compact tummy is better than a big huge one!!

ahh ignore those people. my cousin had a small tummy right up till birth ..and out came a healthy, adorable baby.

People can be really annoying that way. You'll be glad for a smaller tummy at the end of the day really! And I think you look great :)

Dont let comments from people you dont know affect you. Ok sometimes they can come from well-meaning friends/relatives/colleagues too.

I know how it's like - when you are pregger, everyone seems to have their 2-cents worth!

But as long as you and baby are growing healthy according to your gynae, nothing else matters. God is with you both all the way.

amanda: Sighs, the comments do make me worry sometimes though. But I suppose I'm just in a tired, irritable mood today too, which makes it worse!

nuttyjas: That's a relief to hear. I can't wait for next gynae visit to 'see' baby again!

beanbean: I know, people have just so many opinions. The shoes I wear, what I drink, the size I am etc etc. On normal days I can just grin and bear it and remind myself that the comments could be out of concern, but one days like this, I just get to irritated!

lilsnooze: Yeah I guess I have to remind myself that comments could be well-meaning. I can't wait to 'see' baby again at next visit! Praying all goes well.

So long as baby's growing well and mummy's feeling great, smaller tummy sounds like a better deal? cos less stretch marks? haha

as long as baby is healthy and growing well, i'd definitely think a smaller tummy is great! lugging around a huge tummy is no fun at all! anyway i rmb for first pregnancy i was also quite compact til the third trimester, when the tummy suddenly expanded exponentially...

Take that as a compliment that you are not whale-like! Stay positive, you look just GREAT!

yen chiew: Haha, I guess so if you put it that way. I'm very prepared to get stretch marks though =P Practical about that. haha

faith: My appetite is picking up so I am pretty sure my weight will start increasing. I'm finally back to pre-pregnancy weight!!

yuling: Hehe thanks :) I'm preparing myself mentally to turn whalelike in a couple of months though. Don't want to kid myself =P

Just let everything progress naturally. And let things go through one ear and out the other.

I had a small tummy too and my gynae commented that other people are always commenting that the tummy is too big or too small, never just nice! :P

Compact is good!!

for all 3, mine bump was hardly visible too at 5 months. i didn't need maternity clothings till i passed 6+ mths..

and they all weighed almost the same at birth, 3.25kg.. so really, there's nothing to worry about at all ;)

i would be so happy if someone comments my tummy is small. but it's usually the way it should be for a women 1st pregnancy which i used to be last time. Now with my 2nd ones alot comments it was big. And it's really no joke carrying this big balloon ard!!!

moo: Thanks dear. I guess there is a tinge of worry in me esp coz I lost quite a bit of weight initially.

cindy: You did! :) So it will be easier to lose it after delivery right? I guess people always have comments and I have to accept that.

tiffany: Yup and baby too!

cherie: Wow those are pretty big babies! And you didn't show till 6th month? That's cool, and a relief for me!

xrhapsodizingx: I can imagine. Already I feel some weight on my bladder and it is uncomfortable. Hang in there for you - just a while more!
