So it was rather apt that when I finally did, I attempted to play Piano Man by Billy Joel.
I played horrendously!
Roboman came to my rescue. He heard me struggle, and came along to give me some chord playing tips. As he pottered around the house, he hummed along, making my playing sound slightly more palatable.
It then hit me how difficult it must have been for him to have played AND sung at our wedding.
Where are my talents?!

hmm.. maybe u should have played "Piano woman" instead? ;)
You have incredibly many talents my dear..even if piano-playing is not your biggest. I wouldn't fret if I were u.
I wanted to spring a piano-playing surprise but seeing that I have no bkground at all, I gave up!:P
I really regret not taking up piano lessons when young!
hemma: Piano Woman! Hehehe. Can you compose a simple song for me to play? =) You are biased my dear, about my talents!!
lms: Waaa! I didn't even think about doing any surprise. Well I learnt most of my life but I was never fond of it. Even now. I enjoy beautiful visuals more than beautiful music!
another thing in common - our hubbies play better than we do. mine has less formal training than me as well - sigh, why did i bother. at least i think i sing better har har.
poiemakoinonia: me too! I had more formal training than Roboman. But I never enjoyed it though =P Now, you have to teach me to sing!
